Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath today said that the inauguration of the new Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate and Civil Judge Court in Mohanpur has achieved another milestone in bringing the justice delivery system closer to the people.
The Minister said this after inaugurating the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate and Civil Judge Court at Mohanpur in the presence of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, Chief Justice of the High Court of Tripura M. S. Ramachandra Rao, and others.
The Minister said that this is a historic occasion and while the inauguration of a building or a judicial institution may be a routine matter, for the people of Mohanpur today is a memorable day and an occasion to get a spacious, beautiful, and people-friendly permanent building of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate.
He said that this model court building of Tripura is truly very beautiful and equipped with all modern facilities.
“This building has been set up in a special place. I hope in the coming days, keeping this court as a model, all future courts will be constructed. There is a decision of the Supreme Court on the requirements for setting up a new court, and all the criteria have been met in this building. In 2021, when I was the Law Minister of the state, along with the then Chief Justice Akhil Kureshi, I witnessed the foundation stone laying ceremony of this judicial complex. Due to the untiring coordinated effort by various departments of the government and the High Court at all levels, this building has materialized within four years,” said the Minister.
The Minister said that the Constitution of India is very beautiful and that there is no such Constitution in the world.
“This is the beauty of India. But these lofty words of the framers of our Constitution will be confined only to lifeless alphabets in black and white until and unless they are translated into reality by the legislature, the executive, and lastly the judiciary in their individual domains. This dream has today got another added wing in the form of the inauguration of this new building. We have achieved another milestone in bringing the justice delivery system closer to the people. This is the latest feather added to the success story of the executive government of the state and the judiciary,” he said.
He also said that the Tripura High Court has the distinction of achieving the highest rate of disposal in the country with the support of the state legislature and the executive under the able leadership of Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha.
“We shall always aspire and endeavor that the four pillars of democracy—that is, the executive, legislature, judiciary, and also the media—shall continue to strive and work in the constitutional framework of cohesion to develop Tripura into a unique model state of our country. In a democratic country, there are four pillars: legislature, executive, judiciary, and media. These four pillars are very important for democracy, with each having a vital role to ensure the balance of power and responsibility. There should not be any discrimination,” he said.
