Tripura to fill up 118 Computer Science, 35 Store Guard positions

The Tripura Government has announced the recruitment of 118 individuals for the post of Computer Science teachers in Vidyajoti Schools under the Education Department through a written examination.

Additionally, 35 candidates will be appointed as Senior Store Guards in the Food Department.

Tourism Minister and Cabinet Spokesperson Sushanta Chowdhury made the announcement at a press conference at the Secretariat following a cabinet meeting.

He emphasized that a B.Ed degree is mandatory for candidates appearing for the Computer Science teacher recruitment examination.

Addressing the media, Minister Chowdhury also responded to allegations made by Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman regarding irregularities in the supply of ration items at fair price shops.

Dismissing the claims, he accused Barman of making misleading statements in public without verifying facts.

"This is not expected from a senior MLA of the state. Being overly clever in politics is not advisable," he remarked, strongly condemning the statements.

Chowdhury further highlighted that no Congress-ruled state in the country has implemented a scheme to provide free sugar, flour, and semolina to approximately 9 lakh ration card holders during Durga Puja.

He claimed that such an initiative was taken only under the BJP government in Tripura.

He alleged that an attempt was made at a recent Congress rally to mislead the people of the state.

"For this very reason, the people of Tripura have bid farewell to the Congress forever," he asserted.
