History of Congress, CPIM will be erased from state: Tripura MDC

Member of District Council of Tripura, Bidyut Debbarma on Thursday claimed that the history of Congress and Communists in Tripura would be erased from the state.

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Kalyanpur Janajati Morcha organized a tribute program today at Bairagi Para School Ground, Rajni Sardar Para ADC Village, commemorating the 37 Janajati martyrs who lost their lives between 1982 and 2003.

During the event, MDC Bidyut Debbarma made a statement asserting that the history of Congress and Communists in Tripura would be erased.

He emphasized that while earlier these parties tried to disrupt BJP and Tipra Motha, their stance has changed upon witnessing the development-driven initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Highlighting the demand for Greater Tipraland, Debbarma stated, “Only the United Nations can provide Greater Tipraland, no one else.”

He further criticized the Left, claiming that socialism would never be established in the state.

Debbarma also took a dig at the Congress and Communist parties, stating that they had failed to reach many areas of Tripura, whereas the BJP had made its presence felt everywhere.

Addressing the current issues, he acknowledged the challenges related to drinking water, irrigation, and electricity, but reassured that these were all being addressed by the BJP’s proactive governance.

He further lauded Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for ensuring free and fair elections across the state, asserting that the Congress and Communists now find nothing substantial to criticize in Tripura’s political landscape.
