These include 340 cases related to motor accident compensation, 3,509 cases concerning bank loan repayment, 1,245 cases associated with BSNL bill payments, 15,815 compensable criminal disputes under various Acts, including the MB Act, TP Act, TG Act, and Excise Act.
Additionally, the Adalat will address 260 marital disputes, 52 cheque bounce cases, 10 consumer-related cases, 8 employment disputes, and 5 civil matters.
Notices have already been issued to the parties involved, allowing them to participate in pre-conciliation and settlement proceedings by contacting the respective District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Sub-Divisional Legal Services Authority (SDLSA) since March 3.
To ensure a smooth resolution process, Odhikar Mitragans (para-legal volunteers) are assisting individuals who have received notices.
Jhuma Dutta Chowdhury has urged all concerned parties to take advantage of this opportunity for an efficient, free, and amicable settlement of their legal disputes.
