Tripura Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury is strengthening his connection with citizens through his weekly ‘Jana Darbar’ sessions.
“Jana Darbar provides an opportunity for the public to directly approach their representatives with their concerns,” said Minister Chowdhury. “Since 2018, when I became an MLA, I have prioritized visiting my constituency and engaging directly with people to resolve their issues.”
Every Saturday, the minister meets hundreds of residents who bring a wide range of concerns, including financial difficulties, unemployment, pension matters, and issues related to education and social welfare.
Echoing Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s ‘Mukhyamantri Samipesu’ initiative, Minister Chowdhury stressed that public representatives must work alongside the people to make a tangible difference.
During these sessions, he personally listens to grievances and seeks solutions, ensuring citizens feel acknowledged and supported. The minister reaffirmed that the weekly interactions will continue, highlighting the government’s commitment to bridging the gap between the public and their representatives.
