Amid ongoing political buzz that several MLAs from Tipra Motha Party might join the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma on Thursday issued a firm and determined statement, declaring that neither his party nor the unity of the Tiprasa community can be shaken.

Speaking to supporters after launching the THANSA Bike Rally at Lembucherra in West Tripura district, Debbarma stressed that the real strength of the party lies not in political posts but in the shared identity and solidarity of the indigenous people.

“Today, none of us are MLAs, MDCs, or even Bubagra (king). At this moment, we are simply Tiprasa,” he said.

He called on supporters to put aside their official designations for the coming month and unite like warriors in the struggle to safeguard their rights, identity, and future.

Debbarma  also expressed confidence that the unity among the indigenous community remains strong.

“Some people are spreading rumours that Tipra Motha will break apart. I want to make it absolutely clear  neither the party nor the Tiprasa people will be divided,” he said. “As long as the poor indigenous people stand with me, I am ready to face any challenge. I will never betray the faith they have placed in me.”

“To those who think they can finish me politically, I want to remind them that I am a Kshatriya a warrior. You have already seen my love and compassion for my people. Now you will also witness my determination and my fight. We fear no one. Let us see who truly has the courage,” he declared.

Debbarma further urged party workers to strengthen their grassroots efforts ahead of the council elections by reaching out to every village and explaining that the movement is larger than political power or positions.

“This struggle is not about becoming a minister. It is about protecting the future of the next generation, supporting the poor, and defending the rights of our indigenous people", said Pradyot.

Reiterating his commitment to the cause, Debbarma concluded with a strong message:

“We may even sacrifice our lives, but we will never compromise when it comes to the rights and dignity of our people.”
