The results of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education’s (TBSE) Secondary and Higher Secondary examinations may be delayed due to the ongoing Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, according to TBSE President Dr. Dhananjay Ganachoudhury.

Speaking at a press conference in the board’s office on Wednesday, Dr. Ganachoudhury said that the Secondary examinations began on February 26 and concluded on March 24. This year, 32,184 students appeared for the Secondary exams. The Higher Secondary exams started on February 25 and are scheduled to conclude on March 30, with 26,502 students appearing. In total, 58,686 students are appearing for both Secondary and Higher Secondary exams, which is 8,500 more than last year.

Approximately 2,500 teachers have been assigned to evaluate the answer scripts. The evaluation process was scheduled to begin between April 6 and 7. However, due to teachers’ involvement in the elections, it is possible that they may not be able to participate in the evaluation as per the planned schedule.

Dr. Ganachoudhury added that in previous years, the results were announced by April 30. The board had aimed to release the results within April this year as well. “However, due to the election-related responsibilities of teachers, it is unlikely that the results can be announced within April. We will, however, make efforts to declare the results by May 7,” he said.
