Tripura BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharya today said that the latest election trends in West Bengal indicate a strong wave of public dissatisfaction with the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and a clear preference for change.

Reacting to the evolving results, Bhattacharya claimed that voters in the state have expressed their long-standing aspirations through the mandate. He said the BJP is confident about forming the government under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding that the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” has strongly connected with the electorate.

According to him, the trends suggest a growing desire for political change in West Bengal, which he attributed to widespread support for the BJP. He also pointed to high voter turnout, saying it reflects active public participation and backing for both the BJP and Prime Minister Modi.

Bhattacharya congratulated supporters in Assam, Puducherry, and West Bengal for what he described as their support for the BJP. He further stated that the party is heading towards a strong majority in Assam and also mentioned that BJP candidate Jahar Chakraborty has won the Dharmanagar by-election.

He also praised the conduct of the elections, saying the process in West Bengal was largely peaceful and called it a notable achievement for the Election Commission of India (ECI). He added that smooth polling without major disruptions reflects the public demand for free and fair elections.

Concluding his remarks, Bhattacharya reiterated that the high voter turnout in West Bengal signals strong public sentiment, which he claimed is directed against the TMC.
