Tripura royal scion and Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma on Wednesday condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, asserting that India must respond firmly in the face of rising regional tensions.

In a strongly worded statement, Pradyot said, “Silence doesn’t bring justice. And fear doesn’t build peace. India must and should respond!”

He added that the remarks coming from neighbouring countries’ leaders, including the Army General of Pakistan and the Chief Advisor of the caretaker government in Bangladesh, are “simply unacceptable.”

Highlighting a deeper democratic concern, the Tipra Motha chief remarked, “Ironically, they both are not answerable to the voters in their country.”

His remarks came in the backdrop of the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of security personnel and left several injured, sparking nationwide outrage and calls for a strong diplomatic and strategic response
