Job aspirants have once again taken to the streets demanding a speedy completion of the recruitment process for the posts of firefighters and drivers. Today, they gathered in front of the Tripura Fire Service office to voice their protest.
The protesters alleged that in 2022, a notification was issued for 329 vacant posts in the Tripura Fire Service. Following the announcement, physical tests and written examinations were conducted. However, nearly four years have passed, and the results of these exams have still not been declared, leaving candidates in prolonged uncertainty.
The aspirants claimed that many candidates have been waiting for years hoping to clear the exams, but the delay in completing the recruitment process has caused severe hardship, including prolonged unemployment. A three-member delegation met with Fire Service Director Megha Jain to raise their concerns. However, they alleged that no clear assurance was provided during the meeting.
The protesters warned that if the results are not declared and the recruitment process completed soon, they will intensify their agitation. They also appealed to the Chief Minister to take the matter seriously and expedite the process.
