Tripura CM meets Union Home Minister Amit Shah, holds discussion on development projects

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, who also holds the Home portfolio in the state, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Thursday.

Taking to microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), Dr. Saha wrote, "Met Hon'ble Union Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji in New Delhi. Discussed key development initiatives of our state government and sought his valuable guidance and support from the Centre for further progress."

The meeting is being seen as a significant step in bolstering coordination between the state and the Centre on crucial developmental agendas. Sources indicated that the Chief Minister highlighted ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects, law and order developments, and welfare schemes aimed at ensuring inclusive growth in the state.

The visit also assumes importance ahead of the upcoming review of northeastern development projects by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
