Four illegal Bangladeshi apprehended in Tripura while enroute to Chennai

In a joint operation, the Agartala Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF), and the Intelligence Department apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals late last night at the Agartala Railway Station for illegal entry into India.

According to Tapas Das, Officer-in-Charge of Agartala GRP, the four individuals had crossed into India without valid documents and were preparing to travel further by train. During preliminary interrogation, the accused admitted that they intended to head towards Bengaluru and Chennai.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Zahirul Islam alias Zahir (42), Dhaka , Dilwar Hossain (44) of Shariatpur, Jamirul Islam (27) of Panchagarh and Mohammad Zia (35), Jamalpur of Bangladesh.

A case has been registered at the Agartala GRP Police Station in connection with the incident.
