With the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2025 scheduled for Sunday, May 4, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha chaired a high-level meeting today to review security and logistical preparations for the smooth conduct of the exam across the state.
The meeting took place at the video conference hall of the State Secretariat and was attended by Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, DGP (Intelligence) Anurag, Special Secretary of the Education Department Ravel Hemendra Kumar, and Home Department Secretary Apurba Roy.
Key discussions focused on maintaining strict security protocols and ensuring efficient logistical support on the day of the exam. Officials confirmed that the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police in both West Tripura and Dhalai districts have already assessed the situation at the respective exam centers and taken all necessary precautions.
According to a press release issued by the Higher Education Department, a total of 4,892 candidates from Tripura will be appearing for the NEET (UG) 2025 examination.
The exam will be conducted across 11 centers—10 in West Tripura district and 1 in Dhalai district.
The examination centers in West Tripura district include Maharaja Bir Bikram College, Bir Bikram Memorial College, Banibidyapith Girls H.S. School, Kendriya Vidyalaya Kunjaban No. 1, Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (I.A.S.E), Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC, Hindi Higher Secondary School, Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School.
In Dhalai district, the exam will be held at Kamalpur Government English Medium Class XII School.
Authorities have assured full-proof security and smooth arrangements for the students appearing in the highly competitive medical entrance examination.
