Reiterating the state government’s commitment to the welfare of the people, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today said the government is sincere in resolving public grievances through direct dialogue and proactive governance.
Speaking to reporters at his official residence during the 48th episode of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme, Dr. Saha said, “The government is working sincerely to address the problems of the people. We are engaging directly with citizens to understand their concerns and resolve issues to the best of our ability and capacity.”
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, the Chief Minister said that Samipeshu has emerged as a vital bridge between the government and the people. “Even today, we have taken steps to address issues raised by citizens from various corners of the state,” he added.
Dr. Saha stated that the state government is marching ahead under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with a strong focus on improving the socio-economic conditions of the people. “No government can solve all problems at once. We are making steady progress by solving issues step-by-step,” he said.
He emphasized the goal of building a better Tripura by ensuring development reaches the last person in society and added that the government has laid special emphasis on comprehensive development in tribal areas. “People now have the freedom to voice their concerns openly — something that was not available earlier,” the Chief Minister remarked.
During the interaction, CM Saha personally listened to the problems of several individuals and directed concerned officials to take swift action. Notably, the Chief Minister responded to the grievance of Bipasha Sinha, wife of Shaheed Naik Subhankar Bhowmik of Birganj, Amarpur, and instructed officials to provide immediate assistance.
Similarly, he took note of various health-related issues raised by Prafulla Mandal of Rangkang Para (Gomati district), Triju Debbarma of Gopalnagar (Khowai), Liton Biswas of Seemsima Gram Panchayat (Matabari block), Mamata Dhanuk of Harijan Colony (Agartala), Shiuli Goala of Bamutia block and many others .
Officials were directed to take immediate measures to extend necessary medical and administrative support to these individuals.
Among those present during the programme were Health Department Secretary Kiran Gitte, Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. P. K. Chakraborty, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Shiromani Debbarma, G.B. Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, I.G.M. Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Debadri Debbarma, along with senior officials from various government departments.
