Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan to benefit 392 revenue villages in Tripura: Minister

Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath today informed that 775 Gram Panchayats and Village Committees comprising 392 revenue villages will be benefited under the Dharti Aba Janajatiyya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) and Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan which will started from June 15 and would continue till June 30.

Addressing a press conference, Minister Nath said that in the context of celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the Tripura Government is going to conduct a state-wide awareness and benefit engagement campaign from June 15 to June 30, 2025, titled Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan.

“In Tripura, 775 Gram Panchayats and Village Committees comprising 392 revenue villages in 52 blocks of 8 districts will be benefited under DAJGUA. The Dharti Aba Janajatiyya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) will be implemented through 20 different departments of the state. Our party and our government have jointly decided to conduct this program. The main aim of our government’s slogan is Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” said Minister Nath.

He said that a few days ago, the government launched PM JanMan.

“BJP always thinks about the last man of the society, and the government also thinks the same. Development of the last man is essential. We have launched these two programs — Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan and Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan — for the overall development of the Janajati people who are lagging behind in development. In our state, 8 ministers have been given responsibility for the eight districts. Our Janajati people are a little bit behind in development; however, our state and central governments are tirelessly working for their upliftment. To develop further and to check whether any loopholes were left or not, we will be organising art competitions, health camps, quiz competitions, awareness drives, and many other programs,” said the Minister.

Minister Nath said that in seven locations under West District — including Jirania, Belbari, Old Agartala, Lefunga, Mandwi, Hezamara, and Mohanpur — and in Dukli block, this Abhiyan will be held.

“We will give them all kinds of benefits, including ST Certificate, PM-KISAN, PRTC, Ayushman Bharat, KCC and Mudra Loan, PAN Card, Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, and ICDS,” he added.
