Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, today underscored the unwavering commitment of the central and state governments to public welfare, asserting that development must be inclusive and reach every section of society.
She was speaking at a review meeting of flagship government schemes held at the Circuit House Conference Hall in Kailashahar.
Addressing officials and public representatives, the Union Minister of State stressed that the benefits of ongoing central and state projects must percolate down to the grassroots.
“No tribal family or individual should be deprived of their legitimate rights,” she said, highlighting the significance of the Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan in ensuring participatory governance and equitable access to welfare schemes at the district and block levels.
The meeting saw the presence of Tripura's Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, Member of Parliament Kriti Devi Debbarman, Unakoti District Magistrate Dr. Tamal Majumdar, Director of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Satyabrata Nath, Block Development Officers (BDOs), and other senior officials.
Kicking off the review, District Magistrate Dr. Majumdar presented a detailed overview of the implementation status of various flagship programmes across the state’s 10 districts through a PowerPoint presentation.
The discussions focused on accelerating project execution, addressing bottlenecks, and ensuring that schemes such as PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and various tribal welfare initiatives are implemented efficiently and transparently.
