To promote higher education and regional inclusion, the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM) has announced 50 special scholarship seats exclusively for students from Tripura across various undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
To guide students on emerging career prospects under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, USTM will organize a Workshop titled “Career Opportunities in the Context of NEP-2020” in Agartala on Friday, June 27.
Distinguished personalities like Prof. Arunoday Saha, Padmashri and former Chairman of the Higher Education Council, Dr. Bibhas Deb, Vice-Chancellor of MBB University, and Dr. Deepak Sharma, Registrar of Tripura University will attend the Workshop.
USTM’s Chancellor Mahbubul Hoque and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gauri Dutt Sharma will also grace the occasion.
USTM, an ‘A’ Grade NAAC-accredited university and consistently ranked among India’s top 200 by NIRF, currently educates over 6,500 students, with strong representation from rural, tribal, and female communities. The university is known for hosting national luminaries, including former Presidents of India, Nobel Laureates, and other eminent dignitaries.
Faculty from USTM are also expected to visit Tripura soon for discussions to strengthen academic collaboration and finalize workshop arrangements.
