CM offers Rs 4 Lakh aid to families of drowned teenagers in Agartala

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday extended financial assistance to the families of three minors who drowned in a pond while bathing on June 17 at the Arundhatinagar Agricultural Research Centre in the capital city.

Speaking on the incident, the Chief Minister said, "A few days ago, in an unfortunate incident in the Badharghat Matripalli area, three teenagers drowned and lost their lives. Today, I met the bereaved family members at my residence, expressed my condolences, and provided financial assistance of ₹4 lakh to each family on behalf of the state government."

The deceased have been identified as Bobby Shukla Das (17), Shubham Deb (17), and Shubhjit Dey (15).

Prof. (Dr.) Saha also took to social media to mourn the loss, writing, "I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of three people due to drowning. I pray to God to give strength to the bereaved family members in this difficult time. The administration has been instructed to take necessary measures."
