Sonamura Police recovered a large quantity of suspected narcotic substances, including 18 kg of dry ganja and 70 bottles of Eskuf syrup, during a routine patrol along a border road on Sunday. The seized items are estimated to be worth around Rs 9.70 lakh.
Police said the recovery was made while personnel were patrolling the areas surrounding Srimantapur, Tarapukur and UNC Nagar. During the patrol, officers noticed some suspicious articles lying unattended beside the road.
