A tragic accident claimed the life of a 31-year-old housewife in Gamaibari area under Teliamura Police Station on Monday morning, casting a pall of grief over the locality.

According to reports, Saraswati Choudhury was taking a bath at her residence when a hanging electric wire accidentally came into contact with her back, causing a severe electric shock. She collapsed instantly after being electrocuted.

Family members rushed to her aid and immediately took her to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital. However, doctors declared her dead upon arrival.

The sudden and untimely death has left her family, relatives, and local residents deeply shocked and saddened. Many described the incident as heartbreaking.
