Tripura CM emphasizes zero tolerance for Corruption, bats for organ donation

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha reaffirmed the state government's commitment to zero tolerance for corruption while attending the 120th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat at Booth No. 10 (City Center) of Town No. 8 Baradowali Mandal.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Saha highlighted the significance of Mann Ki Baat, stating, “We eagerly anticipate PM Modi’s address as it brings to light various aspects of our country and beyond, which we may not have been aware of earlier. 

Today, he mentioned receiving Poila Boishakh greetings in multiple ways, reflecting the unity in diversity that defines India.”

Dr. Saha noted that in this episode, PM Modi emphasized the Para Games, showcasing the achievements of Divyangjan athletes. 

He praised both the central and state governments for their dedicated efforts in supporting specially-abled individuals, which have yielded unprecedented results. He also mentioned Pariksha Pe Charcha, where a student from South Tripura had the chance to meet PM Modi. "The student shared that he did not have to pay any money to meet PM Modi, underscoring the PM’s unwavering stance against corruption. Our government, too, upholds a strict zero-tolerance policy against corrupt practices,” Dr. Saha asserted.

Additionally, the Chief Minister shed light on his discussions with the MOHAN Foundation, emphasizing that every organ of the human body can be transplanted. 

Encouraging people to step forward in organ donation, he stressed the role of public representatives in raising awareness about its importance.
