To strengthen relations ADG BSF engages with Border communities

Ravi Gandhi, Additional Director General (ADG), Eastern Command, Border Security Force (BSF), held an interactive session with the residents of Bhagalpur, Narsingharh, Bamutia, and Kalkalia villages at the Border Outpost (BOP) Bhagalpur of West Tripura District.

As per BSF the engagement aimed to strengthen relations between BSF and border communities while addressing local concerns.

“The villagers expressed their deep appreciation for the BSF’s unwavering commitment to border security and community welfare. They acknowledged that the proactive measures taken by the force have led to a significant reduction in crime along the border. The residents also lauded the BSF’s prompt responsiveness in addressing key concerns, including better connectivity, improved lighting in border areas, and efficient gate management, which have significantly enhanced their quality of life”, said BSF.

During the interaction, ADG Ravi Gandhi attentively listened to the grievances of the villagers and assured them of BSF’s continuous support in resolving critical issues.

He emphasized that the BSF remains dedicated to assisting border communities and will work in coordination with relevant authorities to address their challenges effectively.

Recognizing the need for essential services in remote areas, the ADG assured that the BSF will organize educational and medical camps to ensure better healthcare and learning opportunities for the local population.

Additionally, he encouraged the youth to explore career opportunities in the BSF and announced the launch of specialized training programs and skill development camps to help aspirants prepare for recruitment in the force.
