A high-level meeting of the Inter-State Truck Terminal Development Society was convened today at the Madhab Bari terminal conference hall in Jirania sub-division of West District to review the progress and management of the crucial infrastructure project.
Chairing the session, Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury underscored the urgent need to complete pending construction work and ensure the terminal operates in a disciplined and efficient manner.
He instructed concerned officials to expedite unfinished tasks and called for heightened administrative vigilance to prevent any disorder involving truck drivers or other stakeholders.
“The terminal must function with order and discipline. Every stakeholder must coordinate effectively to avoid confusion or conflict,” Chowdhury asserted.
Emphasizing the importance of professionalism and mutual cooperation, the Minister said that streamlined management is essential to the terminal’s long-term success and its role in regional trade connectivity.
Officials from multiple departments, including the Public Works Department, along with members of the Terminal Development Society, also attended the meeting.
The Inter-State Truck Terminal at Madhab i is regarded as a key logistical hub aimed at enhancing transport efficiency and boosting interstate trade and connectivity across the region.
