Tripura Power, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath today led a Tiranga Yatra in Mohanpur Assembly Constituency to observe the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.
The bike rally was organised by BJP Yuva Morcha, Mohanpur.
The rally started in front of Mohanpur Kamakhya Mandir premises and then travelled through Kalagachia, Bijaynagar, Tarapur Chowmuhani, Manipuri Chowmuhani, Cinema Hall route, Dighalia, and finally gathered at Tulabagan Colony football ground.
Over 2,000 youths today joined the rally with their bikes, proudly carrying the national flag.
Speaking on the matter, the Minister said that in 2021, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji announced the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.
"The youths must be aware of who caused the country to be divided and in exchange for whose interests. We must be united to protect our country so that nobody can divide our nation. That is why we have organised this bike rally. This day is very important and significant. Many mothers have come here with their children, and many had to leave the country during those days. We must be cautious. There is a section of people who want to divide our nation. We don’t want to see those horrible days again. Youths must stay united and that’s why we are observing this day,” said the Minister.
He conveyed his thanks to those who attended the bike rally with the national flag and in a disciplined manner.
“This will be a historic bike rally. I don’t know whether such rallies have taken place anywhere in the state or not,” said the Minister.
