A 20-year-old youth, identified as Kuflang Noatia, died in a devastating road accident near the Garji Outpost late Monday night under Gomati District.

Family members said the young father has left behind a three-month-old baby, who will now grow up without his presence and support.

The tragedy unfolded as Kuflang was returning home after attending a local fair. His motorcycle reportedly collided head-on with an Eco vehicle, killing him instantly.

Another youth who was travelling with him suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors have described his condition as highly critical.

Police arrived promptly after receiving the alert, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. Following the completion of legal formalities, the body was handed over to the grieving family.

Authorities have also detained the vehicle involved in the crash and initiated a detailed investigation to determine the cause of the accident.

The untimely death has plunged the locality into deep sorrow, with residents expressing shock and mourning the loss of the young father.
