Tripura has achieved a proud milestone in the field of digital governance. West Majlishpur Gram Panchayat, under Jirania RD Block in West Tripura district, has been conferred the National Silver Award for e-Governance at the 28th National Conference on e-Governance 2025, held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha hailed the recognition as a “landmark moment” for the state, emphasizing that the honor reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to good governance and citizen-friendly service delivery.
“A landmark achievement for Tripura. West Majlishpur Gram Panchayat has been conferred with the National Silver Award at the 28th National Conference on e-Governance in Visakhapatnam. This reflects our commitment to delivering good governance,”said Dr. Manik Saha, Chief Minister
The District Magistrate of West Tripura also congratulated the Panchayat in a social media post, noting that the award highlights sustained efforts to strengthen e-Governance, ensure transparency, and promote efficient, citizen-centric services at the grassroots level.
Officials said the recognition comes as a result of continuous innovation and effective adoption of digital governance practices, which have empowered rural citizens and streamlined public service delivery across the Panchayat.
