A foundation stone-laying ceremony was held today for the construction of a new office building in Ward 31, under the Central Zone of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC).
The event was attended by MP and BJP stat president Rajib Bhattacharya as the chief guest, while AMC Mayor Dipak Majumdar was present as the special guest. Several other municipal representatives and officials were also in attendance.
During his address, MP Rajib Bhattacharya emphasized that the primary responsibility of the Municipal Corporation is to provide citizens with efficient and transparent services.
He criticized the previous Communist administration, claiming it prioritized its own interests over public welfare. According to him, the current government is working with dedication for the welfare of the people through the Municipal Corporation.
He further stated that the construction of the new office building will strengthen service delivery infrastructure and enhance the sense of responsibility and work ethic among the staff. This development, he added, will directly benefit the residents of the ward.
