The duo, identified as Rupesh Kumar and Fulgu Devi, were caught while attempting to smuggle a substantial quantity of ganja via train.

“During the operation, a preliminary search led to the recovery of eight packets of ganja, weighing a total of 36 kg, concealed in three pieces of luggage,” SDPO Roy informed.

The estimated market value of the seized contraband is approximately Rs 3 lakh. The accused have been taken into custody and will be presented before the court, where the police will seek their remand for further investigation.
