The Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Transrural Consulting Private Limited to conduct an impact study on financial literacy initiatives being implemented under TRLM.

The agreement was signed on July 28, 2026, with the objective of engaging Transrural Consulting Pvt. Ltd. as a Technical Support Agency to evaluate the effectiveness of financial literacy training programmes provided to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and their members across the state.

The proposed study will assess the outcomes of various financial literacy interventions and analyse their impact on the financial awareness, decision-making abilities, and economic participation of rural women associated with SHGs.

According to TRLM, the findings of the study will provide valuable insights for strengthening future strategies and improving the delivery of financial literacy programmes. The assessment is expected to support efforts towards greater financial inclusion and enhanced livelihood opportunities for rural communities, particularly women.

The initiative reflects TRLM’s continued focus on empowering SHG members through capacity building, improved financial knowledge, and sustainable livelihood development.
