In a proud moment for Tripura, innovative products developed by women Self-Help Group (SHG) members under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) have earned recognition beyond the state, with two home-grown products featured in the September 2026 edition of Hello 6E, IndiGo’s in-flight magazine.
According to TRLM, Khachuk Chocolate, crafted by women SHG members from South Tripura, and Butterfly Pea Flower Tea, produced by members of Star Mahila Dal in Gomati district, have been showcased in the magazine, giving the products valuable exposure to travellers across IndiGo’s extensive network.
TRLM said the recognition highlights the growing potential of women-led enterprises in Tripura and reflects the efforts being made to transform local resources, traditional knowledge and innovative ideas into commercially viable products.
The inclusion of the two products in Hello 6E is also being viewed as a significant boost to TRLM’s efforts to promote entrepreneurship, self-reliance and sustainable livelihood opportunities among rural women through SHG initiatives.
“These products, developed through the collective efforts and entrepreneurial spirit of women SHG members, are now reaching an audience far beyond Tripura, placing the state’s emerging rural enterprises in the national spotlight,” TRLM said.
The achievement is expected to further strengthen the visibility and market potential of locally produced goods while encouraging more rural women to take up entrepreneurship and turn indigenous resources into successful enterprises.
