Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today chaired a review meeting on the state-of-the-art eco-park in Sachindra Nagar Colony, Jirania, under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme for which the Central Government has approved the fund.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Tripura Tourism Department, aims to boost local tourism and promote economic development in the region.
A final coordination meeting regarding the project was held today at the Jirania SDM Conference Hall.
Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury chaired the meeting in the presence of the Director of the Tourism Department, Jirania SDM, local public representatives, prominent social workers, and land donors.
Addressing the gathering, the Tourism Minister said the eco-park will be built on the model of Kolkata’s Nicco Park and will serve as a major recreational and tourism hub.
“The development of this park will not only offer modern recreational facilities but also generate employment opportunities for local residents and stimulate trade and business in the region,” he stated.
Chowdhury appealed to landowners to extend generous support by allowing the use of their land for the project.
He emphasized that the park will be developed with joint financial assistance from both the central and state governments.
