Six Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from Tripura made a remarkable mark at the prestigious Saras Aajeevika Mela 2026, held in Gurugram, Delhi. 

Representing the state under the aegis of the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), the SHG members showcased a vibrant array of traditional handicrafts, handloom products, and authentic local delicacies at the 17-day national-level fair.

The Tripura stalls drew significant attention from visitors, highlighting the state’s rich cultural heritage and skilled craftsmanship. The exquisite products, reflecting the dedication and creativity of the SHG Didis, were widely appreciated by buyers and art enthusiasts alike.

Over the course of the mela, the SHGs recorded total sales of Rs 11.97 lakhs, underscoring the growing demand for and recognition of Tripura’s handmade products at the national stage.

The TRLM expressed pride in the SHGs’ performance, noting that such platforms not only provide economic opportunities but also strengthen the visibility of Tripura’s cultural and artisanal legacy across India.

The success of Tripura’s SHGs at the Saras Fair 2026 stands as a testament to their skill, perseverance, and the thriving rural entrepreneurship fostered by TRLM.
