As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Tripura’s Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath visited the 104th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) stationed at Mohanpur in West Tripura district today.

In a poignant ceremony, Minister Nath handed over the national flag to BSF personnel, saluting their courage and commitment to the nation.

The event was marked by patriotic fervour, as the Tricolour was unfurled amid resounding applause.

Addressing the jawans, the minister called the Indian national flag “a reflection of our hope, blood, and history.” He praised the BSF’s quiet strength and sacrifice, which, he said, instills pride in every Indian.

“It’s an honour to celebrate Har Ghar Tiranga with the brave soldiers who guard our borders and our dreams. Their unwavering dedication is the backbone of our national security,” Nath said.

He further highlighted the BSF’s contributions beyond its military duties. “Apart from ensuring border security, the BSF is deeply involved in civic action programmes. These initiatives have helped forge strong relationships with local communities and build trust among villagers living near the border,” he added.

The visit concluded with a symbolic hoisting of the national flag, reinforcing a collective pledge to uphold India's unity and integrity.
