Tripura Police, acting on information received by the Anti-Narcotics Unit, conducted a joint operation today with Kalamchowra Police Station at a house in Jumertilla under Kalamchowra Police Station.
During the raid, authorities recovered 11 drums containing a total of 314 kilograms of dry cannabis from the residence of Badal Miah (35), a local resident of Jumertilla, Sepahijala District. The house owner has been detained for further investigation.
A specific case is set to be registered at Kalamchowra Police Station, and further investigations are underway to trace the source and distribution network of the seized narcotics.
The police have reaffirmed their commitment to tackling illegal drug activities in the region.
