Sushanta Chowdhury, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Transport and Tourism in Tripura, held an important preparatory meeting with senior officials ahead of the upcoming state budget session, which is likely to begin on March 13.

The meeting brought together Secretaries, Special Secretaries, and Directors of the Transport, Tourism, and Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs departments. Discussions focused on departmental priorities, ongoing projects, and key proposals to be placed during the forthcoming budget session.

Addressing the officials, the Minister emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to ensure smooth implementation of schemes and efficient service delivery to the public. 

He also reviewed the progress of various development initiatives and directed the departments to finalize their proposals and action plans in line with the government’s broader development agenda.

The upcoming budget session is expected to outline major allocations and policy measures concerning transportation infrastructure, tourism promotion, food distribution systems, and consumer welfare in the state.

Officials present at the meeting assured the Minister of their full cooperation and readiness for the budget session.
