ARDD and Social Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das today attended a virtual meeting held at the Secretariat Conference Hall in the august presence of  Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh) and Minister of State S.P. Singh Baghel, along with senior officials from the Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD).

During the meeting, Minister Das highlighted key issues and opportunities concerning the growth of the animal resources sector in Tripura. He stressed on the importance of strengthening infrastructure, improving productivity, and ensuring enhanced support for farmers and livestock rearers.

“The development of the Animal Resources sector is crucial not only for ensuring food security but also for generating livelihoods and supporting rural farmers. We are committed to implementing initiatives that will empower livestock farmers and boost the state’s economy,” Das said.

The discussion focused on future strategies to promote sustainable animal husbandry, improve veterinary services, and provide better facilities to farmers. The meeting also emphasized the role of modern infrastructure and technology in enhancing productivity in the sector.
