A complaint has been lodged against Tripura Leader of the Opposition, Jitendra Chaudhury, in the West District and Sessions Judge Court for allegedly making false claims regarding SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das.
According to Advocate Raju Datta, on October 10, 2025, Chaudhury reportedly alleged in the media that Minister Das had been involved in irregularities in the distribution of welfare funds.
“He also allegedly suggested that certain projects overseen by the minister were being mismanaged, causing financial discrepancies,” said Advocate Datta.
Advocate Datta emphasized that these claims are entirely baseless and were made with the intention of defaming Minister Das.
“The complaint has been formally filed in the West District and Sessions Judge Court, with Public Prosecutor Biswajit Dey as the complainant. These allegations are completely false and were aimed at tarnishing Minister Das’s reputation,” he said.
