The Government of Tripura will honor 24 of the state’s top-performing schools and colleges during the 64th Teachers’ Day celebrations on September 5, in recognition of their excellence in academics, sports, culture, and institutional development.
The Directorate of Secondary Education has announced the list of awardees across multiple categories, highlighting achievements in board results, student attendance, IT adoption, cleanliness, and national flagship schemes.
Dudhpur High School in Unakoti district will be awarded for best attendance, while Kathalia Girls HS School in Sepahijala has been chosen for best TBSE board results. Rajnagar Colony HS School in South Tripura topped the CBSE results category.
In sports, PM SHRI Nabagram HS School (West Tripura) will be felicitated, while Golden Valley HS School (North Tripura) and Tellamura HS School (Khowai) will receive awards for cultural and co-curricular excellence.
For outstanding implementation of the PM POSHAN scheme, four schools have been recognized: PM SHRI Jnanoday English Medium School (South Tripura), West Daluchara High School (Dhalai), Sukanta Academy English Medium School (West Tripura), and PM Shri Radhakishor Institution (Unakoti).
In the field of information technology, Kirit Bikram Institution (Gomati), PM SHRI Sabroom Girls HS School (South Tripura), Mungiabari HS School (Khowai), and Kshudiram Basu English Medium School (West Tripura) will be awarded.
Recognition under the Swachhata category will go to Ratan Roaja Para High School (Dhalai) and West Bokafa HS School (South Tripura). Bhagat Singh English Medium HS School (West Tripura) has been declared the best overall performer.
Among higher education institutions, Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya (Gomati) has been named the best degree college, while TTAADC Polytechnic Institution (West Tripura) will be honored as the best polytechnic.
Additionally, five schools will receive special green initiative awards: Mendi Hour High School (Dhalai), Bir Bikram Institution (North Tripura), Rabi Gopal Para High School (Sepahijala), Sarashima HS School (South Tripura), and Tripura Lokshikshaloya High School (West Tripura).
The Directorate has directed District Education Officers to invite the principals and headmasters of the selected institutions to attend the state-level Teachers’ Day programme, where awards will be formally conferred.
