The Tripura Global Pineapple Festival 2026 will be held at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi from June 27 to 29, bringing Tripura’s celebrated agricultural pride to the national capital, said Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath.

A high-level review meeting was held today at Conference Hall No. 2 of the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath. 

The meeting was attended by Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma, MP Rajiv Bhattacharya, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, and senior officials from multiple departments.

The Minister informed that the three-day festival will run daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. 

“The event will feature a special reception for pineapple farmers of Tripura, along with dedicated showcases promoting the state’s tourism potential and rich cultural heritage. Around 25 departmental stalls will also be set up, offering visitors a glimpse into various government initiatives and products”, he said.

Minister informed that beyond agricultural display and cultural performances, the festival is expected to serve as a key platform for promoting Tripura’s pineapple industry at a global level. 

Discussions during the meeting also covered logistical arrangements and coordination between departments to ensure smooth execution of the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Agriculture Minister emphasized that the festival will significantly boost global visibility for Tripura’s agricultural products. 

He added that it will help enhance farmers’ income, open new export opportunities, and further strengthen the state’s agro-based economy.
