In a major step to strengthen farmers’ financial security, the 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) will be disbursed on August 2, with ₹45.43 crore earmarked for beneficiaries in Tripura.

The announcement was made today by Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath, who said that the amount will be transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a national event in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, scheduled for 11 AM.

“Tripura is progressing in agriculture thanks to the hard work and dedication of our farmers. Both the central and state governments are working closely to ensure their financial well-being,” Nath said.

He added that the state-level programme will be held at the State Agriculture Research Station in AD Nagar, where he will attend the live broadcast of the Prime Minister’s address.

Nath urged farmers across the state to join the programme from their respective villages and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and listen to the Prime Minister’s interaction with farmers.

“This government stands firmly with the farming community and will continue to support them in the future,” he said.
