Agartala, March 02: The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has announced a large-scale mass gathering on March 11 in Agartala to showcase its strength and press for key demands, including the protection of the Constitution, restoration of democratic rights, and action against alleged corruption in the name of development.

Addressing the media, TPCC President Asish Kumar Saha said the event will take place at Orient Chowmuhani, where party leaders and workers from across the state will participate.

“The central leadership has been invited, and we have reached out to Kanhaiya Kumar and Jignesh Mevani to attend the gathering. Campaigning is already underway, and today, we held a meeting with unorganised workers of the Congress party to ensure the event's success. Despite the challenges we often face during such events, we are determined to hold this rally,” Saha said.

He further asserted that the upcoming rally would be one of the largest Congress gatherings in the state.

“I challenge that after a long time, Congress will bring its full strength to the streets. This gathering will be a historic show of force, demanding the protection of the Constitution, the restoration of democratic rights, and an end to corruption,” he stated.

Saha also informed that the newly appointed Tripura Congress in-charge, Saptagiri Sankar, will visit the state on March 7 for a two-day tour to hold discussions with party leaders and workers.
