Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure a decisive victory in the upcoming TTAADC elections scheduled for April 12. He asserted that the people of the ADC will “create history” by voting the BJP into power.

Addressing a rally at Kalachhara Motor Stand in South Tripura, in support of BJP candidate Abhijit Tripura from the 27 East Muhuripur–Bhuratli constituency, Dr. Saha strongly criticized the Tipra Motha Party. He accused the party of indulging in corruption, spreading misinformation, and betraying the interests of the Janajati community.

According to the Chief Minister, Tipra Motha has been misusing the sentiment of “Thansa” and engaging in divisive politics by provoking ethnic communities. He claimed that the party lacks a clear ideology and is misleading tribal voters for political gains.

Dr. Saha emphasized that for the overall development of the Tiprasa people, it is essential for the BJP to win with a strong mandate. He added that the BJP is committed to inclusive development and aims to move forward by keeping all communities united.

Taking a swipe at the Leader of the Opposition, the Chief Minister alleged that he lacks the courage to contest from a reserved constituency in tribal areas. He also criticized opposition parties, including CPIM and Congress, accusing them of spreading confusion and making baseless allegations against the BJP.

Referring to claims made by opposition leaders, Dr. Saha countered accusations regarding land encroachment by pointing to alleged irregularities involving opposition party offices. He also dismissed allegations of political “understanding” between BJP and Tipra Motha, calling them attempts to mislead the public.

Highlighting the central leadership, Dr. Saha praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for working towards strengthening the nation, while criticizing Congress for what he described as irresponsible politics.

Several BJP leaders, including Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, state IT convenor Chandan Debnath, district president Deepak Dutta, and women’s wing president Mimi Majumdar, were present at the rally along with party workers.
