Like every year, the Kashipur Ganesh Puja Committee in West District of Tripura is set to celebrate Ganesh Puja with grandeur, but without seeking any donations from the public.
The committee members themselves have shouldered the responsibility of organizing the festival, which will be held from August 26 to 30.
Committee chairman Uttam Kumar Ghosh said that, as a special attraction this year, a 30-foot-high glass idol of Lord Ganesh is being crafted.
“No donation has been collected. All expenses are being borne by our members. Along with the rituals, we have also taken up social service activities, including cloth distribution,” he added.
To mark the occasion, a fair has also been organized in Kashipur, continuing the tradition of drawing devotees and visitors every year.
