Bipin Debbarma, Tripura BJP general secretary and candidate for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election, on Monday emphasized that this year’s council polls are crucial to curb corruption and accelerate real development in the region.

Addressing an election rally, Debbarma said the TTAADC election is an opportunity to cleanse the district council of corrupt practices.

“Under the current Tipra Motha administration, corruption has grown significantly. Public representatives have failed to address the people’s issues. Access to clean drinking water and proper road infrastructure remains inadequate. Many residents do not even know who their Member of the District Council is,” he stated.

Debbarma added that even some Tipra Motha supporters are disappointed, recalling that they had voted for the party in the previous election, but have seen no meaningful work or progress.

He urged voters to consider the track record of political parties, saying, “Parties that use the community merely to gain power and then ignore the people do not deserve support. We need leaders who will solve real problems—providing drinking water, ensuring road connectivity, and working for the future of our next generation. For genuine development, the people should vote for BJP.”
