The Tripura Legislative Assembly will hold a special one-day session on April 30 at 11:00 AM, during which an important bill is expected to be taken up for passage, according to official sources.
The 9th session of the 13th Assembly had earlier been adjourned indefinitely. However, the House has now been reconvened for its second phase under Rule 19 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.
The decision to reconvene the Assembly was taken by Speaker Ramprasad Jamatia, exercising his constitutional and procedural powers.
Assembly Secretariat officials confirmed that the specially convened session has been called primarily to facilitate the passage of a key legislative proposal. A.K. Nath, Secretary of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, has issued the official notification regarding the reconvening of the House.
