The Tipra Motha Party, which has been in power for the last five years in the district council, only said they didn’t receive funds and failed to work.
If they win again, they will say the same. So, if people vote BJP to power in the district council, then there will be no problem with funds, and the district council will witness massive development.
This was said by Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath today while addressing a courtyard meeting at Rubrituisa area of booth number 19 of Bodhjangnagar-Wakhinagar constituency for the TTAADC election.
The Minister said that this year’s Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election is very essential.
“You have cast votes many times in TTAADC. The funds which were given to TTAADC were not used properly. If they had been spent properly, then TTAADC would have witnessed massive development. CPIM and IPFT were in power in TTAADC. BJP was not in power in TTAADC. Most of the time, it was seen that regional parties have ruled the TTAADC. If you think casting your vote for regional parties has benefitted you, then vote again for them,” he said.
The Minister said that regional parties like TUJS, INPT, TNV, TSP, NSPT, NCT, TPF, TTNC are now nowhere, and now only Tipra Motha remains. That means BJP was not in power. They always raised demands like giving inner line permits, Swadhin Tripura, Tipraland, Greater Tipraland. But what have the Janajati people received? BJP wants Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, economic development, social and infrastructure development.
“If Tipraland happens and there is no money, then what will happen? You people need economic development. You need roads, water, houses. All such things are given by BJP. BJP, though not in power in the district council, is also working for overall development. BJP wants development of the Kokborok language. Regional parties always say they want the development of language, but in reality, they don’t. BJP wants Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. Those who were in power in the district council for the last five years only said they didn’t receive funds and failed to work, and if they win again, they will say the same. So, if we vote BJP to power in the district council, then there will be no problem with funds in the district council,” he said.
