Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma on Monday congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party over what he called a “strong and decisive victory” in West Bengal.

In his statement, he credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and MP and former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb for what he described as a major political shift in the state, claiming it led to a setback for the Trinamool Congress.

He further remarked on political developments in other parts of the country, including Kerala, stating that the Left had faced significant electoral losses there. He suggested that such outcomes indicate a decline of communist-led governments in India after many decades, though these claims have not been independently verified.

Extending his comments to other states, Debbarma also referred to political trends in Tamil Nadu and Assam, mentioning actor-politician Vijay and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and arguing that recent regional developments reflect a broader national political shift.
