The Higher Secondary examinations conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) began smoothly today, with the English paper concluding without any disruptions across the state.

The examinations were held at 60 designated centres, accommodating students from Higher Secondary, Madrasa Fazil Arts, and Madrasa Fazil Theology streams.

A total of 21,214 candidates had registered for the exams, including 9,763 male and 11,451 female students. Among them, 9,697 male and 11,364 female candidates appeared for the test, while 66 male and 87 female students were absent, resulting in an impressive overall attendance rate of 99.28 percent.

To ensure the examinations were conducted smoothly, TBSE Chairman Dr. Dhananjay Ganachowdhury inspected several exam centres, including Bijaykumar Higher Secondary Girls' School, Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan, Bani Vidyapith Higher Secondary Girls' School, and Pragati Vidya Bhavan.

Additionally, TBSE Secretary Dr. Dulal De, along with OSD Abhijit Bhattacharya and Deeptanshu Prakash Dutta, visited Vijaykumar Higher Secondary Girls' School to oversee the process.

Meanwhile, the English examination for Madhyamik (Secondary) and Madrasa Alim students is set to take place tomorrow, as per the Tripura Board of Secondary Education.
