TBSE Bochor Bachao: Secondary Pass Rate Rises to 84.93%, HS to 80.65%

The overall pass percentage in the Secondary (Madhyamik) and Higher Secondary examinations in Tripura has increased following the publication of the "Bochor Bachao" examination results, Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) President Dr. Dhananjoy Gon Chowdhury said on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference, Dr. Chowdhury said the final pass percentage has risen to 84.93 per cent in the Secondary examination and 80.65 per cent in the Higher Secondary examination.

He said that after re-evaluation, 1,570 Higher Secondary students became eligible to appear in the Save-a-Year examination. Of them, 350 students passed while 1,220 failed, increasing the overall pass percentage from 79.33 per cent to 80.65 per cent.

Similarly, after re-evaluation, 758 Secondary students qualified for the Bochor Bachao examination. Among them, 239 students passed and 519 failed, raising the overall pass percentage from 84.18 per cent to 84.93 per cent.

Dr. Chowdhury said the declaration of the Save-a-Year examination results marks the completion of the entire evaluation process for this year's Secondary and Higher Secondary examinations.

He also informed that 292 schools recorded a 100 per cent pass rate in the Secondary examination, while 66 schools achieved 100 per cent results in the Higher Secondary examination.

In addition, 39 students appeared in the Bochor Bachao examination for the Standard Mathematics paper in the Secondary examination, of whom 36 students successfully passed, he added.
