To make the slogan "Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar Ghar Swadeshi" a success, the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken up various programs from September 25 to December 25. This three-month-long initiative aims to build a self-reliant India.

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha said this while participating in the inauguration ceremony of the state-level workshop of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan at the party’s state office today.

Dr. Saha said that several programs have been organized on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday.

“September 25 is the birthday of the Bharatiya Janata Party's guiding light, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, and December 25 is the birthday of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Therefore, the Atmanirbhar Bharat program has been taken up for three months, from September 25 to December 25. This means that every person will be made self-reliant. In this case, emphasis will be laid on Vocal for Local, that is, on our own products. We will see how to produce goods according to the needs of the people. Through this, the tendency to import from outside will be reduced to a large extent,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that Tripura has many unique products of its own, including rubber, bamboo, agar, horticulture, queen pineapple, jackfruit, rubber furniture, and more.

“There was a discussion today on how to modernize these further. At present, it is state-based, but later it will be extended to the district level and eventually to the mandal and booth levels. One of its primary goals is self-reliance. That means we must become strong in various aspects, including economic, educational, communication, knowledge acquisition, and practical skills. Self-reliance begins by knowing ourselves. Our respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly urged us to reduce dependence on foreign countries. The less we need to bring from outside, the better. The Prime Minister envisions building a developed India by 2047, with an economy worth over 30 trillion US dollars. Only then will a truly developed India be possible. Our state is also working in that direction. That is why the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Vocal for Local programs will continue for three months, with various initiatives being undertaken by the party,” he added.

Bharatiya Janata Party's state president Rajib Bhattacharya, MP Dhaval Patel who is also Incharge North east for atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp, General Secretary (Organisation Assam and Tripura) Ravindra Raju, general secretary Amit Rakshit, several cabinet members, public representatives from different levels, and senior leaders were present at the program.
